Just got back from the Greek island of Mykonos! Had such an amazing break, anyway I always look forward to getting back, and finding out whats happened without me at the shop. On walking in this morning the jewellery cabinet is full of the most amazing stuff from Nic’s friend Sarah who runs www.phestival.com an online festival boutique. I cant decide what colour bracelet I want yet but Mum got the orange and red one for Cath my sister in law because Beyonce wore it at Glastonbury!

Inspired by the cute Tarina Tarantino charm bracelet that everyone was fighting over last year when I opened the shop, I have decided to make my own version for this summer. Mum as has always said that I’m happiest when I’m making and she’s right! Much to Dax’s frustration my coffee table is covered in trinkets and I’m looking forward to making more tonight infront of the telly!

I’ve been back down to London this week to do Rebeccas makeup for her performance at the Grand Prix Ball. She looked gorgeous as always and I loved her lemon dress which she had styled herself. I’m amazed to read that the Daily Mail wrote that she behaved like a diva backstage. Firstly, what girl wouldn’t want to do a last minute lippy and hair check, and secondly, Rebecca is that chilled and easy going that I’m probably more of a diva when I’m doing the makeup than she is getting it done. It’s sad that the press create such a negative vibe about anything, and that we have to read it. How is anyone meant to benefit from such a story, when it would be far more uplifting to hear that the event raised £30,000 for the children’s cancer charity Clic Sargent, which is an almost after thought thrown in at the end of the article! Everyone knows my favourite makeup is theatrical. At the weekend I went to see Priscilla the Musical down in London. It was amazing. The actors have a full makeup change every act, which is quite unbelievable, I think they must use pre-made eye masks which they just stick on as it would be impossible to apply such amazing eye makeup so quick. Anyway, back from my trip and inspired, I must get Rose to arrange a Priscilla style event for the Liverpool Pride festival taking place this summer.

Were there’s a party, there’s The Blowers. The Blowers are one of our favourite groups of clients. There’s Becky Blower, her sister Lauren, their gorgeous mum Sharon, their cousins Sarah and Steph, their friends Amy and Claire who are also sisters, as well as Lyndsey and Nettie. The list goes on. Whenever anything’s happening, they are there, including The White Party over in Amsterdam. They were all in on Saturday before their flight for their glitter smokes, with only Becky going all out with a star made of crystals, glitter and gems.
