After Sara’s wedding my boyfriend picked me up and we headed down to my mum and dads holiday home in Abersoch! On Sunday I got the V.I.P box out for my cousins Lilli, Izzy and Anna so they could do makeovers for the other kids on the site! Hopefully if I brainwash them early enough this could mean early retirement for me!

We met Sara last year when Nic had to go trial out the new St Tropez booth she had in her salon in Wales. After seeing the salon online Sara brought all her staff for a makeover in January and booked a V.I.Peaches for her wedding! I wouldn’t normally write a blog about someone’s wedding but Sara’s wedding will go down in Peaches history for the amazingly funny photos we coaxed her into posing for, she loved it, her bridesmaids wanted to kill me and the camera man wanted to kiss me!!!

Time to say good bye to Scratchy tomorrow! Can’t believe how quick the summer went. She came; She scratched everything in sight, and now its home time and back to school for De (she’s actually a fashion tutor down in London)! Time flies though so it won’t be long before she’s back for good in January!

We were made up to be asked to take part in Anna and Sian’s wedding as part of the BBC3 tv show Don’t tell the bride! I can honestly say that what you see on the TV is 100% real. We got asked less than 24 hours prior to ceremony if we had availability to do it, and after a lot of moving things round we managed to free up 1 hour on an already full Saturday for Nic and Polly to do 4 hair and makeup! Creating the perfect Mission Impossible scenario that the program makers rely on to put on a good show. The rest of us at the shop had front row seats to all the action as the secret location for the wedding was the town hall, right opposite the shop. Anna, the nervous groom popped in before the ceremony with her best Lady to say thanks and we managed to talk them into abit of eyeliner and some blue nails courtesy of Scratch to match the linen suits with blue t-shirts and blue vans that they had on!

Little Katie’s talents where defeated on Saturday by a client asking for my slumdog millionaire makeup from the look book. So we decided to go through it this afternoon in training. Rose downloaded the Bombay Dreams soundtrack to inspire us and treated us to a few ‘dance moves’ if you can call them that, from her dance and drama days! After giving in to Rose’s unsubtle hints to make her over too, she choreographed a quick routine and we filmed it for Rose’s you tube channel!

De aka Scratch Dollface returned for her summer slot just intime for Liverpool Pride at the weekend. I asked her to cover reception as Big Mares on holiday… not an easy set of shoes to fill. However, true to form Scratchy didn’t disappoint in her Katy Perry get up! Always full of big ideas I didn’t manage to get my act together intime to put on an event for Pride. We did manage to get into the spirit of things with my 11am appointment John, the only drag of the day! With a cleavage to rival mine created from afew excess pounds and A LOT of duct tape he must have been in agony, nothing though that his handbag busting with 5 bottles of wine and a long straw wouldn’t numb! Highlight of the day (infact the week) had to be John throwing himself against our glass shopfront at 5.30pm absolutely legless waving hysterically at us! Ha ha… More important than pride, one of our favourite clients Becky Blower was celebrating her 30th! After much afew trips to Harvey Nics and Harrods with Lauren she decided to keep it real with a gorgeous coral and gold baby doll dress with train from Mary Spendlove!
After what seemed like 30 hair and makeups I couldn’t summon the energy to go myself but Nic and Little Katie did the Peaches proud and made a pre garlands appearance!

Finally the new glitters have arrived for our trademark glitter smokes so that we can custom mix the shade of glitter to match your dress! They will be amazing to mix with shellac too for matching nails and eyes!
