Nic got in at 5am on Sunday morning! Perfect timing for her 8am wakeup call off me for the wedding fair! Luckily Welsh Helen the ice-cream maker from the Hilton wedding fair was on hand for the perfect hangover cure. She traded us a makeover for unlimited ice-creams!!!! It was also lovely to see Karen, Lisa and Chloe from the Bridal path who were styling the catwalk we haven’t seen them in ages!

To cut a long, crazy story short Nic ended up coming to Frankfurt with me for Rebecca’s gig for the International motor show. I just couldn’t take the chance that a few squirts of rescue remedy would get me there in one piece. Everything happens for a reason though; we had some good bonding time, loads of fit food including 30 euro burgers in bed and a proper laugh at Elmer a German makeup artist from berlin who had also been booked as a backup. God knows what Bec would of ended up looking like if I hadn’t of made it, his kit was box fresh as in there was no evidence he had ever even used it!!!

The multi talented Lizzie joined our team this year. She’s actually my brother’s sister in law so we are kinda related although now she’s a peach that’s more of a sisterhood than any blood tie. Anyway aswell as being a makeup artist she is also a cake decorator ( by the way this is all squeezed around looking after her 15mth year old son)! Liz unveiled her Peaches cake this weekend at the Hilton, its amazing! She’s handpainted the wallpaper from the shop (which actually used to be a vintage dress of mine) onto a wedding cake! Check out more of her creations at www.lizzieslarder.co.uk.

Peaches rarely do Sundays with the odd exception. Yesterday we set up shop at the Hilton Liverpool for a local wedding fair. After hitting the all you can eat breakfast buffet (probably not a good idea) it was a Peaches team effort to do her the hair and makeup for the wedding catwalk show. Having decided not to exhibit at St Georges Hall wedding fair this year it was nice to see some of our favourite faces on the wedding circuit… Marcus, Herve and of course Wes, as well as meeting some new ones, in particular newbie Helen from Anglesey who makes bespoke Ice-cream.

Inspired by our trip to The Savoy yesterday we had afternoon tea peaches style for Big Mares Birthday, complete with a gorgeous platter of sandwiches from Philpotts!

I had another job on yesterday for Rebecca in London. She was singing at the Katie Piper Charity Ball in The Savoy. I decided to take Mum as a pre birthday treat! After 3 hours doing hair and makeup I came down to the parlour to find her surrounded by bags (no surprises) filled with old fashioned toys for herself, a handmade doll, a miniature statue of ‘The old lady who lived in a shoe’, a box of lauderee macaroons and a box of macaroons from ‘PAUL’ for my dad (cringe). We were escorted to our taxi by Claudie mums personal butler who had been waiting on her all afternoon. We laughed our heads off in the taxi, mum had asked for a pot of tea and the waitress had said “English Breakfast?” and mum was like “Oh no I’ve already eaten!” , probably in a posh voice like she’s in there every week, anyway she didn’t realize she was referring to the blend of tea! Classic Big mare ha ha ha. Anyway she said it was the best birthday she’d had in years!
