We think its time to introduce you to our favourite new neighbour Tanya Maxwell, the owner of Thirteen and Minnie Bee boutique! She designs and makes the most amazing dresses and coats, and between the 8 of us we’ve already got her up the wall with orders. The ultimate convenience when your too busy to go shopping like us… and I’ve even managed to tick a few presents off my list for my niece and nephew from Minnie Bee which sells the coolest in kidswear including the cutest Angels Face tutus that come in every colour imaginable and from age 1 upwards, I can’t wait to see my baby cousin Kitty in the pink one mums got her for christmas!
So this week we’ve all had poor Tanya harassed with orders for the christmas party, I popped in Tuesday night and nearly wet myself when I saw her cutting up some tartan! I was like ‘OMG your not’ … and she was like ‘yeh I am’. For anyone who didnt see X Factor on Sunday you wont have a clue about the tartan dress Rihanna wore for her appearance A-MAZ-ING!!!!!!!!!!!….and definately blog worthy. So we arranged our first, hopefully of many photoshoots, for today and I didn’t have to ask Rosie twice to do the modelling, she loved the dress so much she bought it! The dress looked amazing on her, I actually like the way Tanya’s mixed it up a little with the longer sleeves, leather cuffs and lace collar so it doesn’t look like a copy in the same way she has made her Gold Sequined ’Beyonce does Glastonbury’ dress!
So slowly but surely the revolution of Dale Street has started, and we hope to attract more creativity to this end of the City!

Dont Tell the Bride - Link to iPlayer.
Its been around 3-4 months since we filmed Dont Tell the Bride. Late one Thursday night when we we’re finishing off clients the producer came in and asked if we’d like to take part. Weddings being such a big part of Peaches , I love the show so jumped at the chance, however when automatically asking for dates, times and numbers etc it started to dawn on me that true to the nature of the show it was to be a very last minute booking… to say the least. Despite not knowing what lay ahead ( a nightmare for anyone who knows what a control freak I am) we agreed to take part and arranged to meet the groom the following day…. I was abit confused when the produced refered to she but soon caught on that it was a Lesbian wedding.
A very stressed groom arrived at Peaches in tears the following day and revealed the wedding was the day after (Saturday)… now anyone who’s tried to get an appointment on a Saturday at a weeks notice will tell you the chances are slim if none, so squeezing in a whole wedding party hair and makeup the day before is impossible, but then nothing is impossible for Peaches as we’ve proven. So after a quick move about of some appointments we pulled her out the ‘poo’ as Jade would say, and never one to miss a ‘Mare’ll fix it moment’ Big mare arranged to make a mini mareband for the baby bridesmaid and some mareclips for the older ones! After leaving on a high I then had to break the bad news to Nic and Polly who I’d arranged to do my dirty work for me…” You’ve got an hour to do 4 hair and makeups”, you can only imagine what they said to me, I reassured that they would be ok and that atleast they didnt have to do the Brides hair but still don’t think they were impressed!!!
The following day we all waited tense back at the shop hoping the girls had arrived on time and that it wasn’t too much of a rush, and eager to see the bride and groom as they were getting married over the road at the Town Hall. I can’t remember what time it was when Anna and Jade ( Groom and Best man) burst through the doors looking fab in there suits so we pimped them with abit of eyeliner and some blue nail varnish courtesy of Scratch. We got a big wave off the bride as she drove past, then Nic and Polly arrived back with tales of chaos but you can see from the footage they did an amazing job anyway as I new they would.
Sian (the bride) and Anna came in the following week with thankyou cards and presents, they are a great couple and we wish them all the best for the future. If you didn’t see the show you can watch it on BBC3 iPlayer it’s one of the best episodes they’ve made.

Beware if your out shoppin in L1 today, Big Mare is on the loose! Armed with her book of raffle tickets I’ve told her not to bother coming back till she’s sold 1000! Just incase I’ve lost you… she’s out raising money for Children in Need selling raffle tickets for the chance to win a Golden Ticket to Peaches & Cream. At just a £1 they’re well worth the chance to win £160 worth of makeover treatments just intime for christmas! Don’t panic though if your not in town today, we have extended selling up untill 7pm tommorrow night when we will draw the winner!
With fundraising well under way we’ve already had a charity spray tan victim in from the passport office. Amidst alot of heckling from his workmates, he was a good sport allowing Nic to transform him into Keith Lemon! Wonder if they’ve told him it’ll be even darker tomorrow… and probably won’t wash off till Wednesday????

The One and Only Herbet popped in today as he was passing! He told us all about the ‘Real” santa he is flying in all the way from Lapland for the santa dash on the 4th December! He then went on to tell me all about Queenies Christmas Fundraiser Ball he holds every year in order to pay for 1000′s of the less fortunate to enjoy christmas day! I had no idea that he organises all this, so I felt alittle awkward asking if he wanted to buy one of our Golden Ticket raffle tickets for Children in Need but he kindly threw a donation in the box and said he didnt need the tickets! What an inspirational person.

Due to popular demand our new Super 10 Eyelash Bundle is now available to buy online! It provides makeup artists and lash fanatics with the opportunity of purchasing our eyelashes at a wholesale prices. You get 10 sets of Peaches & Cream lashes for £30 RRP £50. A great rate in comparison to Eyelure Lashes which retail between £5-£7 a set and Mac Lashes at £10 a set. Make no mistake though just because they are cheaper the quality is not compromised , Peaches & Cream eyelashes reflect the high standards we have gained our reputation for, we’re not talking about the cheap nasty lashes you can buy on ebay for 50p each !
Pictured are 5 sets of Style 27, 3 sets of Style 09 and 2 sets of Style 06… a selection that we feel would cover all types of clients when out freelancing over christmas or all occasions if you intend to wear them all yourself. You’ve got the 27′s for the ‘ more is more’ girls, the 6′s for the ‘ less is more’ girls and the 9′s for the ‘ natural but noticeable” girls. However feel free to purchase your bundle and customise your order to whatever styles suit you by either emailing us or messaging us through paypal at the checkout stage of your order, and we’ll be happy to amend your style choices.
So always looking for a chance to get done up and do a new blog , me and Nic got creative to demonstrate the difference between our 2 equally popular but completely different best selling eyelash styles 9 and 27. And as with anything we do it kinda all spiraled out of control!
Style 09 Eyelashes as pictured on the more natural side of the face, add length and volume to your natural lashes and compliment all eye shapes and eye makeups by graduating longer towards the outer corners to give the eyes a slightly winged out look. They also look amazing when doubled up sixties style to create extra thick, fluttery lashes.
Style 27 Eyelashes as pictured on the more dramatic ( to say the least) side of the face look great with our signature glitter smokes. The lash tapers into points, creating a full yet gappy style that allows the colour or the glitter on the eyelid to show through when the eye is open. Do not be put off by the over the top nature of the photos ( we are both actually wearing 2 X 27′s on the one eye), 27′s are best sellers in the salon preferred for the glamourous finish they add to your eye makeup.
After making each other up and creating our drag alter-egos we headed down to The Polar Bar on Chavasse park for some mulled wine and shepherds pie and despite the stares Nic has decided that she would like a set of raised eyebrows for the christmas party! That girl never fails to outdo herself! What will be next????Watch this space. xxx

The Glitters Have Landed! This week Peaches has been took over by the new glitter range named after the staff and most regular clients. Polly, Nicky and Katie all produced a statement Peaches Glitter Smoke makeup using their signature glitters. Lizzie created a ‘Rosie’ smoke on Kate in her training. Devon came in for a rasta inspired glitter makeup for the Wiz Khalifa concert where Kate used Lauren, Rosie and Devon yellow (coming soon!). Kate went on to whip out a rainbow masterpiece on Little Becky using ‘the Super 12‘, our top 12 glitters! The Salon is literally sparkling!
