Little Katie here! Last week Kate and Nic decided that I should make my Wednesdays blog abit more creative! From now on every Wednesday I will be doing a fancy dress makeup! I have never done face painting before and even though I know my talents lie with makeup, I really wanted to push myself, get more creative and be able to do all the face paints for this years Halloween! This is my first attempt at a scary monster! I always do glamourous makeups so I wanted to make myself look really ugly! Well I hope you all enjoy my 1st attempt and stay tuned for my next fancy dress makeup next Wednesday….

Finally mine and roey’s Pat Field tote bags arrived at the shop today! If you’ve never heard of her then you’ll be glad you now have. She has the coolest store in New York and is also head stylist for Sex and the City. I bought an amazing purse from her shop years ago and have been obsessed with her website ever since http://www.patriciafield.com/! Pat always knows what’s hot before anyone else! Afew weeks ago I turned my mannequin head into her tote bag design four our Hall of Fame project… today when the bags arrived I took my obsession one step further!

Sticking with the Oscars theme , when looking through the Oscars photos I have to be honest, I wasnt overly impressed at the make up that I saw on the red carpet! Dont get me wrong, the outfits on both guys and girls were show stopping , Milla Jovovich in particular stood out in my eyes , but I dont feel that the make up was as eye catching as it could have possibly been. Rather than re creating a make up look as we have done in the past I decided to create my own ‘Oscars make up’ – in other words what would I wear if I was to ever attend (obv just a pipe dream but still). Who better to be my model than my big cuz Kate. I chose to do a look which was both glamourous but classic at the same time. I used Peaches own nude/bronze pigment (coming soon), to create a smudgey smokey eye – the colours complimented Kate icy blue eyes really well. For her base I kept it simple but still wanted a flawless look. Kate has quite olive skin so rather than using a pink or peach blusher I chose to use a more tan/ bronze colour which was then complimented with a nude-peach shimmery gloss. This style of make up is perfect for such a glamourous event as it elegant and classic but still stylish. I think you will all agree Kate would defo cause a stirr struttin in with those smokes!

Little Katie here! This weeks celebrity blog is about the Oscars! So Today after the weekend we always have a big clean of the shop in the morning , working hard so then in the afternoon we can do something productive but fun! We were all looking through the dresses , makeups and hair styles of this years Oscars! We compared them to the Brit awards and even though we loved the Brit awards, all the dresses we found at the Oscars won hands down with the touch of elegance and classyness along the red carpet! Our favourite was Miss Jennifer Lopez, she looked stunning in her floor length white gown! We also noticed her makeup stood out over anyof the others! She had the Peaches lesson make up (brown smokes) on her eyes and a natural glowing base! We also found that this year the Oscars were all about being natural and having nude lips or the other look we found that was popular was what Angelina Jolie had which was flicked eye liner and deep red lips! lots of love Little Katie xxx

A couple of weeks ago I did makeup for one of my gorgeous clients Maryamm who was doing a photoshoot with Kathy from The Boudoir Book. Today Kath popped in with the photos which look amazing. I wonder if I’ll be tempted to book myself in for my 30th next year once I’m South Beach tidy!
