Hi girls, Rose here.

With the bank holiday coming up, I thought I'd do a post about how to make your make-up last. I'm sure many of you will have plans that involve lots of parties and little sleep, but keeping your make-up fresh can be a challenge when you're dancing the night away. Here are my top tips for bank holiday make-up that will stay picture perfect whatever you plan to do...

-Don't be a victim to a peeling lash - it will spoil your make-up. Make sure you use a good lash glue to keep your strips on all night. Our favourite is Duo Adhesive glue.

-Everyone loves a feline eye-liner flick on the upper lash line, but the key to pulling off this look is making it really slick and smudge proof. Try mixing Illamasqua Sealing Gel with your normal eye-liner to create a gel base for your liner. This will make it waterproof and ensure that it stays crisp all evening.

-To avoid any unsightly lipstick bleeding, why not try a lip-liner? Just a hint of colour will give you a template for applying your lipstick and you can even fake a plumper pout if you so please. Who needs collagen when you've got Barry M?

-Maybe you're going for a nuder lip? If so, who says that you have to wear lipgloss? I love using Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream on my lips. It is so thick and hydrating and it won't budge for ages.

-The last thing you're going to want on your club night photos is an oily t-zone! We've all been there - you get tagged in the photos from your night out and end up looking shinier than the disco ball. Don't be shiny this bank holiday, seal your liquid foundation in with a coat of powder.

-Despite not wanting any unsightly oil, you still want to look fresh... try using a primer under your foundation to keep your glow. At the moment Glamour magazine are offering one of three Benefit Cosmetics for free with every issue sold and one of the products is 'That Gal' brightening primer - perfect! Be quick though, issues only hit shelves yesterday and they're already selling out like crazy. I'm yet to find a store that has them in stock (and I am planning on getting all 3... ha ha)!
