Fancy dress Makeover season continued this weekend with a mad hatter and a grinch landing in my chair! Both equally fun to do the mad hatter combined lots of my favourite theatrical techniques. My top tips for Halloween diy makeovers would be...
- Glitter! Add lots. To the kids, the lips, the cheekbones and even the brows! More is more when it comes to sparkle and we sell a wide range of lit glitters both in store and online.
- Colour. Use Matt eyeshadows from colour brands such as Illamasqua or Sugarpill to colour your designs. Not only for the eyes, I love to contour the face using bright colours for a real head turning finish.
- Lashes! Always double up.... or even treble up by applying a set of bottom eyelashes which we also sell online. For the Mad Hatter I doubled up our no 8 & no 7 styles for maximum drama.
- Shimmer. Use a Peaches Pigment all over the skin to create an ethereal quality to your character. For the Mad Hatter I used cult fave 'Pearl' but 'Halo' 'Wow' and 'Kitten' are also great choices depending on the colours chosen for your character.
